Yi Zhang is a highly intelligent Software Engineer, just entering the workforce after an outstanding academic career at both the Beijing Institute of Technology, where he earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering, and George Washington University, where he earned his M.S. in Electrical & Computer Engineering (Communications & Networks). He completed his Master’s degree at GWU with an exceptional 4.0 GPA.

During his time in school, Mr. Zhang worked on many interesting projects, including:

• The back-end development of a J2EE shopping application, with the main functionality being a search module, user account management, and session/transaction management
• Development of a distributed computing simulation, which connected several Windows PC’s together through LAN, using one of the PC’s as a web server to handle HTTP requests, and the others to provide web services
• Programmed an online chatting application, enabling both the client side and server side of the service, which included login services, friend adding/deleting, and string message passing

He is proficient in Java, C/C++, Oracle SQL, and other computing languages, as well as JSP/Servlet, JavaScript, Spring Framework, EJB, JDBC, Hibernate, HTML, and other Web technologies. With a bright young mind and enthusiastic work ethic, we’re excited to bring Yi Zhang on board to the Telegraph Hill team.
