Xirui Wang is a highly driven, well-rounded engineer who holds his M.S. in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University and his B.S. in Telecommunications Engineering from Beijing University. He has experience working with Big Data using Hadoop Map Reduce, and is proficient in languages such as Java, C++, C#, HTML, and CSS.
Some of his recent projects include:
- Collected and analyzed large amounts of tweets using the Twitter API, and used Map Reduce to find keywords; created a series of graphical charts based on users’ geographic location and posting time
- Created a remote repository which can be used via Google Chrome browser, in both Windows and Linux; provided functionality so users could create their own accounts and upload/download files into the repository; supported both ipv4 and ipv6 in Server
- Developed a web application providing a web-based personal task manager for registered users, using Asp.Net and Ajax
